I'm back .....

Been out of town, but I am back now and work will start again on the truck sometime in the next day or so. Stay tuned :O)

No progress today ... had to clean some of the dust out of the garage. I did move the truck outside for this and it ran good ... very little smoke and no oil from the exhaust!! I'm very excited about this.

No new post for a week or more, I have some other pressing stuff to take care of.

Working on the other fender

Just removing paint from the other fender ...got the top side pretty much done ... just need to do the inside.

I also took a little more paint from the running board. It is amazing how much rust shows up in the pictures I take with my Fuji camera that I don't see with my own eyes!

Also will need to get mew rockers for the truck ... Swiss cheese!

I started the truck again today and let it run for a while ... no smoke spotted! No oil either.

March Engine Start

Started the truck this AM and let it run about 5 mins, shut it off, then took this video. It seems the engine is smoking less and it is not leaving the oil on the floor it was before. Don't get me wrong I have no false hope on this ... it, at the least, needs a re ring and/or valve job. I plan on starting it often to watch the out come of the oil leaking from the exhaust. If that clears up I would say the re torque was the cure for that. I think it will take a while for the oil to burn out of the exhaust to really be sure. Less to no oil dripping out of the muffler is a good sign! After a few days of starting and if things clear up I will pull the plugs and check them again.
