Fuel System

Well it has been a while but I finally found some time to get back at it. I spent the last few weeks in Virginia helping with storm clean up.  What a mess! Once I was back home I had to do some yard work of my own.

I pulled the tank, cleaned it and blew out the lines. I also cleaned up the carburetor and installed it.

Since I had the tank off, I went ahead and hooked up wires for the sending unit. Now I can do some testing to see if it works. I have my doubts that it will work with the original gauge, but we will see.

I put in fresh gas today and started it up. I had to keep pumping the gas to keep it running. I need to adjust the carb next and see if I can get it to run on its own. I am sure I messed up the settings adjusting on it last time. It would be a lot easier with two people! A bigger plus if one of them knows what he's doing! I will concentrate on getting it running for now. Once I can drive it around the block I will get back on the body work. Mainly the rear fenders.
